High-protein Brownies

Come bake high protein brownies with me! My first thought when I saw this recipe was that this is one of the best protein brownies recipes I should try. Most of the protein recipes I’ve tried taste more like only the protein, or they don’t cook right.

The brownies in this recipe are such a smart, healthy choice, they cook right, and combine rich flavors with nutritional goodness. Let’s get into the ingredients and instructions:

  • 1 Medium-Sized Ripe Banana

  • 25 gr. (1/4 cup) Cocoa powder

  • 40 gr. (1/8 cup) Oat flour

    • (if you have oats you can blend them and obtain the oat flour)

  • 35 gr. (1/3 cup) Protein powder chocolate flavor

    • depending on the protein powder that you use, it will give you a different consistency. I used this time Egg White Protein which I liked for the results it gave me)

  • 50 gr. Egg white (1/2 teaspoon of a white large egg), or one full egg,

    • I used: Cage-Free Egg Whites 100% Liquid Egg Whites (1/5 cup)

  • 30 gr. Yogurt (2 tablespoons)

    • I used FAGE Total 0% Yogurt

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

  • 60 gr. Self-rising flour

    • Self-rising flour contains all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder already added

  • 1 tsp. baking powder

  1. In a bowl mix: Put the banana in four pieces, add the cocoa powder, the oat flour, add the protein powder, the egg whites, add yogurt, brown sugar, self-rising flour, and baking powder.

  2. Give it a mix

  3. Spray the glass container that you will use with PAM, so the mix doesn’t stick to it

  4. Pour all the mix

  5. Bake until fully cooked at 350F (25-30 minutes)

  6. After you take it out of the oven, let it rest for about 15 minutes

  7. When you cut it, the brownie should be perfectly cooked and ready to eat it!
